The management team of Park Farm Camp Ground takes pride in being able to offer a quality campsite. But exactly what makes a quality campsite? Well, it’s the mandatory standards, some general standards, and the facilities that a camp ground adheres to. Here is an example of what you, the camper, should be looking for when choosing a campsite in East Sussex:
Mandatory Camp Standards
The camp site is clean and safe from hazards
The site is not located near any natural or man made hazards
Garbage disposal facilities are sanitary, and vermin proof receptacles are used
Drinking water is available from an approved source
Emergency assistance is available 24 hours a day
Restroom facilities are clean with flushing toilets
Adequate shelter is available for use during inclement weather
A public telephone is located within ten miles
General Camp Standards
Each family site is close to a sanitary toilet facility
Any individual site “hook-ups” meet all appropriate local and state health codes
Adequate and safe facilities are provided for cooking fires and recreational fires
Picnic tables are available
Facilities (toilet, shower, play areas) are available
People with disabilities are considered
Clean and warm showers are available for all campers
Open Area for group games
Well-marked hiking trails
During the busy summer season we bring in portable toilet units to meet the demand. While these may not be as close to you as you would like, keep in mind that families are free to choose their own pitch in any open space, and that is what makes it a great experience at Park Farm.
To be considered one of the best UK campsites for families we meet all the above standards and more. This is what makes us a great free camping site.
